Grape Agate is the name given to the botryoidal purple chalcedony that has been recently discovered in Indonesian mines. The stone is extremely precious because of its rarity and beauty, making it a highly sought-after stone.

This chalcedony has a deep purple to lavender color and is a fairly hard stone with a Mohs hardness of 7. The purple coloration and light variation in color form the perfect blend of banded chalcedony, with natural flowing lines and botryoidal growth that resemble grape clusters.
