This abstract form was hand-carved from rainbow obsidian mined over 20 years ago near Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico — a volcanic region that produced some of the most vivid rainbow obsidian ever found. The raw material sat unworked for decades before being recently carved and polished by skilled artisans in Magdalena, Mexico, where obsidian carving is a generational craft.

The organic, flowing shape of this piece puts the obsidian's iridescence on full display. Rotate it in any direction and watch bands of electric green, deep violet, and metallic bronze sweep across the surface. The polish is flawless — glass-smooth with no dull spots — allowing the light to travel freely across every contour.

At over a pound, this has a satisfying heft. It sits beautifully on a shelf, a coffee table, or as the centerpiece of a curated crystal display.
