Hand-strung with 3mm faceted citrine, white howlite, and hematite beads, this necklace balances warm golden tones with crisp white and grounding metallic grey. Citrine is a variety of quartz colored by trace iron, ranging from pale yellow to deep amber. Howlite is a calcium borosilicate hydroxide mineral, naturally white with grey veining. Hematite is an iron oxide mineral with a distinctive silvery-black metallic luster. Together they create a grounding, protective strand.

About the stone
Hematite is crystallized iron oxide — polish it and it shines like gunmetal, but scratch it across unglazed ceramic and the streak is blood red. That's where the name comes from: haima, Greek for blood. The same mineral, as fine dust, is what makes Mars the Red Planet.
