This is a bold specimen of Australian Noreena Jasper, known for its signature network patterning — a web of golden ochre lines dividing rich red, rust, and cream-toned mineral fields. The structure resembles stained glass or ancient tilework, formed entirely by natural silica veining within iron-rich sediment.
Unlike softer patterned jaspers, Noreena carries strong contrast and saturation. The color reads warm and grounded, with architectural presence rather than decorative softness.

About the stone
Jasper is opaque chalcedony — microcrystalline quartz so loaded with iron oxide that light can't pass through it. That iron is what paints red jasper its brick red. It takes an exceptional polish, which is why it's been carved into seals and beads since ancient Egypt.
