A warm-toned pink onyx obelisk tower standing 16 inches tall and weighing 3.5 kilograms (7.7 lbs). The stone displays a rich palette of blush pink, rose, cream, and amber with intricate veining that creates a marbled effect across every polished face. Small druzy pockets of crystalline calcite catch the light within the warmer amber zones, adding texture and depth.
Pink onyx from Pakistan forms in the same cave environments as its green and black counterparts, with the rosy coloration attributed to trace iron oxide in specific oxidation states during formation. The complex veining pattern records shifting mineral compositions in the groundwater over geological time. This tower pairs beautifully with the black onyx version for a striking contrast, or stands alone as a warm sculptural accent.
About the stone
Onyx is chalcedony — quartz in crystals too small to see even under a microscope. Its uniform black is rarely how it leaves the ground: since Roman times, cutters have deepened pale banded stone with a sugar-and-heat treatment, a technique so old that Pliny the Elder described it nearly 2,000 years ago.
