The interior displays classic fortification agate patterning with crisp, parallel lines radiating inward toward a translucent chalcedony center, while the exterior retains its natural rough rind.

Moroccan agates form in volcanic basalt cavities where silica-rich groundwater slowly deposits layer after layer of microcrystalline quartz over millions of years. The distinct banding records subtle changes in the mineral-bearing fluid's chemistry and temperature during formation, creating a geological record visible in miniature.

This specimen has excellent band definition with a clean color palette that ranges from warm earth tones on the exterior through delicate pinks and grays to a luminous center. A beautiful hand-sized piece for collectors and display.
