Hand-strung with 3mm faceted lapis lazuli beads, this necklace captures the stone's deep, celestial blue with flecks of golden pyrite. Lapis lazuli is a metamorphic rock composed primarily of lazurite, with calcite and pyrite inclusions that give each bead its distinctive character. Prized since antiquity in Afghanistan and Egypt, lapis has been ground into ultramarine pigment and carved into seals for thousands of years.
