BOLIVIA

South America

From the tropical lowlands of Santa Cruz to the stark salt flats of Uyuni, Bolivia is home to singular mineral stories, most famously ametrine, a natural blend of amethyst and citrine formed in one quartz crystal.

MINING REGIONS

Anahí Mine · Santa Cruz crystals

Anahí Mine · Santa Cruz

Bolivia’s signature, ametrine, comes from the Anahí Mine in the La Gaiba district near the Brazilian border. Purple amethyst and golden citrine grow together in sharply zoned quartz, a natural pattern created by changes in iron oxidation during crystal growth. Most fine ametrine on the market traces back here.

Uyuni Salt Flats · Potosí

Known for its lush landscapes and sediment-rich riverbeds, Bahia yields citrine and smoky quartz in clay + basalt pockets. These formations offer striking hues driven by unique mineral-rich soils and weathering patterns.

Brazil crystals

Ascensión de Guarayos · Santa Cruz

Located in the northern part of Santa Cruz, Ascensión de Guarayos is known among geologists for trace occurrences of topaz, quartz, and pegmatite minerals. Mindat.org and regional surveys confirm this province as an area of emerging geological interest, revealing that Bolivia’s potential extends far beyond its famous ametrine.

Founder’s Note

Collected with Intention

Every crystal begins as an encounter shaped by time and human touch. I personally source each piece, working closely with miners and artisans who handle them with care.

As a photographer and lifelong lover of design, I’m drawn to light, color, and form, the same elements that make crystals feel like natural works of art.

Each piece is photographed in natural light to honor its true texture and energy, a quiet balance of beauty, material, and meaning.

Bolivian Crystal Sourcing FAQs

Each piece is sourced directly from trusted mines across Bolivia known for exceptional quality and ethical practices.

It’s naturally bi-colored quartz—amethyst + citrine in one crystal—with crisp zoning. Most fine ametrine in the market historically comes from the Anahí Mine in Santa Cruz.

For our pieces—yes. We select for natural color zoning and disclose treatments if present. Natural ametrine shows geometric zones rather than uniform color.

You’ll also see amethyst, smoky quartz, clear quartz, and halite/gypsum formations from Uyuni. We curate pieces for clarity, form, and presence.
