A polished double-terminated amethyst point weighing 143 grams and measuring approximately 6 by 2 inches. The crystal displays rich purple saturation with internal phantoms and golden inclusions visible through its translucent body. Both terminations are cleanly faceted, and the elongated wand-like form catches light along its full length.
Double-terminated crystals are naturally or intentionally shaped to have points at both ends, allowing energy to flow in both directions. This specimen's deep violet coloration comes from trace iron impurities and natural irradiation within the quartz crystal lattice, with warm amber zones where iron oxide inclusions create internal landscapes visible through the polished surface.
About the stone
Amethyst's purple comes from trace iron irradiated naturally inside the quartz over geologic time. Heat it past roughly 400°C and the purple turns golden — most commercial citrine started life as amethyst.
