Polished rainbow fluorite carved into a smooth, organic bowl shape. Deep purple-violet bands alternate with translucent gray and flashes of emerald green — every piece is unique. Use as a jewelry dish, crystal holder, or sculptural accent.
Fluorite is calcium fluoride (CaF₂) — its color banding forms as trace elements shift during crystal growth. The purple comes from irradiation of yttrium-substituted sites, while green zones contain samarium or other rare earths. Fluorite is the defining mineral for hardness 4 on the Mohs scale and exhibits perfect octahedral cleavage. The word "fluorescence" derives from fluorite — it was the first mineral in which the phenomenon was described.
