Chevron amethyst is a naturally occurring combination of amethyst and white quartz, forming distinctive V-shaped or banded patterns. Also called dream amethyst or banded amethyst, this variety forms when layers of purple amethyst and milky quartz alternate during crystal growth, creating chevron-shaped bands visible in cross-section. Found primarily in India, Brazil, and parts of Africa.

Each chevron amethyst specimen is unique in its banding pattern. The contrast between deep purple and bright white creates a visually dramatic stone.
