Crystal Spheres for Sale
A crystal ball is carved from a single piece of natural stone and polished until the internal structure — phantoms, banding, inclusions — becomes fully visible. Spheres are among the most technically demanding forms to produce: the stone must be sound enough to survive shaping on all axes without fracturing. The result is a finished piece that reveals the full geology of the mineral.
Stone Varieties
Malachite spheres show concentric green banding formed by copper carbonate deposits, typically sourced from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Pyrite crystal balls display metallic cubic crystal faces from deposits in Peru and Spain. Shungite spheres, from Karelia, Russia, are composed of nearly pure carbon with a distinctive matte black finish.
Selenite spheres are translucent gypsum that transmits light in soft waves. Obsidian varieties — including silver sheen — are volcanic glass, formed when lava cools too rapidly for crystal structure to develop. Lapis lazuli, green onyx, and dozens of other minerals are also available as polished crystal balls.
